• Most women have menstrual periods that last four to seven days. A woman's period usually occurs every 28 days, but normal menstrual cycles can range from 21 days to 35 days.
• You may have irregular periods if:
• 1. The time between each period starts to change
• 2. You lose more or less blood during a period than usual
• 3. The number of days that your period lasts varies a lot

• Thickening of or polyps on the uterine lining
• Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Stress
• Uterine cancer or cervical cancer

• Pelvic inflammatory disease
• Having an intrauterine device (IUD)
• Too much exercise
• Changing birth control pills or using certain medications

• Menopause is defined as the absence of menstrual periods for 12 months. It is the time in a woman's life when the function of the ovaries ceases.
• It is a gradual process. This so-called perimenopausal transition period is a different experience for each woman.
• Menopause may occur as early as the 40s or as late as the 60s.
• Symptoms include:
• 1. Irregular vaginal bleeding
• 2. Hot flashes
• 3. Vaginal dryness, itching, or irritation
• 4. Night sweats
• 5. Urinary tract infection, frequently, (urinary incontinence)
• 6. Fatigue, memory problems, irritability, and rapid changes in mood.

• Surgical removal of the ovaries
• Premature ovarian failure
• Cancer chemotherapy and radiation therapy
• Family history
• Surgery to remove the uterus
• Autoimmune diseases, such as thyroid disease and rheumatoid arthritis

• Menstruation occurs when the uterus sheds its lining once a month. Some pain, cramping, and discomfort during menstrual periods is normal. Excessive pain that causes you to miss work or school is not normal.
• Painful menstruation is also called dysmenorrhea.

• Having a family history of painful periods
• Having heavy bleeding with periods
• Having irregular periods
• Reaching puberty before age 11

• Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
• Endometriosis
• Fibroids in the uterus
• Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)

• Polycystic ovary syndrome, or PCOS, is a hormonal condition that women can get during their childbearing years.
• Women with PCOS produce higher-than-normal amounts of male hormones. This hormone imbalance causes them to skip menstrual periods and makes it harder for them to get pregnant.
• The hormones that play a role in PCOS include: Androgen , sInsulin , Progesterone.
• Symptoms include:
• 1. Irregular or skipped periods
• 2. Cause acne and unwanted body and facial hair
• 3. Mood changes
• 4. Pelvic pain
• 5. Darkened skin or excess skin (skin tags) on the neck or in the armpits
• 6. Cysts in the ovaries
• 7. High levels of male hormones

• Stress
• High levels of insulin
• High levels of androgens
• Genetics

• Pregnancy is by far the most beautiful experience one could ever be part of. This goes not just for mothers, but for fathers as well. It’s one of the most unique and special types of bonding and love that exists. For a woman to create, grow, and give birth to another life is rather extraordinary.
• But During your pregnancy you may have a number of annoying problems that are not dangerous but may need some attention.
• These problems include cramps, urinary frequency and incontinence, nausea , vomiting , heartburn and indigestion, varicose veins, backache, constipation, haemorrhoids and thrush.
